Russia was represented in the American Deep State, with powerful Soviet agents, from at least the 1940s to the 1970s. Perhaps they still are today. The recent tightness between China and Russia I believe to be an informal understanding between the two. Russia takes time out to re-gather her old empire back. China works on socializing America. The American Deep State, which has never acknowledged that it takes orders from the formal government, has sided with the Democrats. The apple never falls far from the tree. So the Democrats profit in NGO land.
Trump is doing almost the impossible in this sort of environment. He has given socialism the heave-ho in Venezuela, and will likely come out on top there. The rug heads appear that they'll remain in power in Iran. Nobody is seriously giving the opposition the help they need. The Mullahs are used to the world yelling at them. Trump is engaged in dog sled diplomacy in Greenland. He isn't fighting the Danes, so much as those with Trump Derangement Syndrome. Trump, being the deal maker that his is, will probably create an agreement to acquire Greenland that will keep everyone happy.
Myanmar is pretty far down on the list of priorities. If Myanmar continuously acts friendly to the US, she eventually will reciprocate.
The elections in Myanmar appear reasonably fair, probably more so than in the US. It ain't as if Joe Biden suddenly scrounges up ten million votes to win. NUG doesn't want to participate in the voting? Nobody voted for NUG either.
In practical terms, Myanmar politics won't get sorted out until after Suu Kyi dies. While talentless, she's got rock star status for having opposed the generals. This reminds me of waiting for Ronald Reagan to die, and he goes senile first.
In the meantime, my suggestions: Just ignore Venezuela. She will come back on her own, probably as friends of the US. Ignore Iran too. While this revolution may be failing, the regime's days are numbered. North Korea's Big Boy can take care of himself. He could turn into a good friend. Russia is good as they are. They're powerful, but not so close so as to annex you. China is always difficult to deal with. Do as you can. And smile at America occasionally.
